Update Days : a Temporary Change – Also Donations!
Hello everyone!
A lot has happened since I’ve moved to Portland, my freelance workload has grown and there are a lot of potentially awesome things on the horizon. As you know living takes money, and work takes time… something that I do not have in surplus, so in order to balance everything for the time being I am temporarily changing Transpose Operator’s updates to Mondays Only for most of the summer. There is no exact date for when Friday updates will continue again(AND THEY WILL) but I will let you know far enough in advance. I am picking my battles so that Transpose Operator will still be able to continue at a regular pace without driving me crazy and costing me paying work, because as much as I wish it did, Transpose Operator does not pay the bills. I have wanted nothing more than to tell stories… but unfortunately I am not a machine… I am a human that has to live in the world and the world runs on rules like having to pay to eat food and things like that, so while I work on paying jobs to live, I will continue to work on Transpose Operator but in a way that I can currently manage.
This brings me to the next part of this update… DONATIONS. This was something I had been toying with for some time, I even had people requesting to donate in the past but I feel that now is a more appropriate time to do this because the distribution of what your donations do will be clearly set out. There are multiple reasons for the donation button to exist, but the biggest one is to make a shift for Transpose Operator to allow me to work on more pages and eventually get it printed and published-something which would be impossible to do on my own at this point.
Donations will go towards:
(1)The site itself
(2)Printing for volume 1 and the following volumes
(3)Merchandise
(4)Advertising
(5)Anything after that will count towards creating:
-pages- which means EXTRA updates
-special incentives for larger donations(personalized sketches for starters!)
-wallpapers
-seasonal merchandise
-various bonus content
I have always wanted Transpose Operator to be a 3 day a week comic, but doing that and surviving just hasn’t worked out yet. However if donations reach a certain amount we can do it! We can have bonus updates in addition to the regular updates in a month by month basis depending on totals, and if it becomes something that happens regularly enough then Transpose Operator can become a 3 day a week comic(or maybe more???), and with the content being created faster the book will come out faster and naturally the story will progress further. Your donations will make a difference- your support as readers makes a difference- this is a real thing everybody- IT IS HAPPENING.
Transpose Operator has always been something dear to me; a story I wanted to tell with characters I care about and I always hoped that by telling this story I could create something that others would feel invested in emotionally and enjoy too. I want Transpose Operator to keep improving in both art and story, to be something good, and most of all I want it to keep going. If anyone is able to contribute I will be eternally grateful, but I also understand if you are able to donate nothing, to be honest, being a reader is enough since that was the whole goal anyway, and the comic will still continue no matter what, but since I want to give Transpose Operator all the possible opportunities that I can, and if you would like to be a part of improving this thing that is so dear to me than I want you, the readers, to also have that option.

I would love to donate!
This comic is great and one of my favorites online.
Keep up the good work!

Hooray! I hope you’ll be able to make some eye t-shirts now! Keep up the good work – love this comic.
YEAH! I can’t wait to start designing those for real, I’ve had the concept sketches around for ages. Thanks River!
Seriously, these last pages you’ve been posting have been super kickass. Keep it up!
I’m so glad you like it! I’m gonna keep going forever and ever!
